Manager - Solar Product Sales

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS :

JOB PURPOSE :

To lead and grow Novus Hi Tech's Solar Business by acquiring new customers, building partnerships, and managing key client relationships across the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, with a focus on delivering custom solar energy solutions.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Automation, setup solar plant for module cell.
  • Lead generation, Enquiry, Built sales pipeline
  • Engage with clients to understand energy requirements and propose suitable solar solutions.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and lead negotiations to closure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and project execution teams for seamless delivery.
  • Track industry trends, government policies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., net metering, subsidies).
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets and generate sustainable revenue.
  • Candidate should have experience working with solar projects and renewable energy systems.

REPORTING STRUCTURE :

  • This role will report into : Head - Solar Division / Director - Business Stakeholders :
  • Engineering Teams, Design Teams, Project Execution Team, HODs
  • External Stakeholders :

  • Solar Manufacturer and customer, Government / Discom Officials, Vendors, Consultants
  • II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS :

    PROFILE :

  • BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or Master's degree or related field
  • 8-15 years of Sales or Business Development experience in the solar energy.
  • Specifically selling solar module manufacturing line.
  • Should have hands-on exposure to C&I rooftop solar or utility-scale solar manufacturing projects
  • REQUISITES :

  • Knowledge of solar energy systems, power electronics, and net metering processes
  • Familiarity with PPA models, CAPEX / OPEX business structures, and regulatory norms
  • Comfortable with client site visits, energy audits, and on-ground sales strategy Understanding of solar manufacturing, installation of solar production line, PV system design and sizing
  • Basic technical knowledge of installation of production line and machinery used, inverters, panels, mounting structures, and battery systems
  • Ability to interpret load profiles, generate basic ROI calculations, and develop feasibility reports
  • Working knowledge of solar design tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope - added advantage) Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and CRM tools
