We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer 2 to join our IT team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-user computing devices, ensuring a seamless and efficient working environment for our staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and other end-user computing devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for users.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Respond to user inquiries and issues via helpdesk tickets, phone, and in-person support.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new workstations and peripherals.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure security compliance.
- Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles.
Skills and Qualifications
1-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10 / 11) and Mac OS.Familiarity with Active Directory and user account management.Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair of PCs and peripherals.Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS) and basic network troubleshooting.Ability to communicate effectively with end-users and provide excellent customer service.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are preferred.Skills Required
