About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who’s passionate about building the infrastructure behind an AI that understands people.

You’ll design APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that allow Utkast to learn, summarize, and communicate in real time — securely and at scale.

You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving founding team, working closely with AI and frontend engineers to deliver systems that feel effortless to users but are deeply complex under the hood.

You will

• Build and scale backend APIs using FastAPI / Python, and / or Nodejs
• Integrate with data sources, email, communication and Calendar systems
• Design contextual data pipelines that power AI learning loops
• Manage async tasks and queues in a scalable way
• Ensure security, privacy, and clean data architecture
• Collaborate with AI and frontend teams to support new features
