The Role :
The Technical Product Manager for our Platform team will define the strategy and roadmap for our core developer platform, including internal APIs, microservices, and infrastructure capabilities.
You will act as the key interface between engineering, business, and operations, ensuring the platform meets the needs of internal and external development teams while maintaining security and scale.
What You'll Do :
- Strategy & Roadmap : Define and own the technical vision, strategy, and 12-month roadmap for the developer platform and core services.
- Requirement Specification : Write clear, concise, and detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories, with a deep understanding of API contracts, system dependencies, and technical debt.
- Stakeholder Alignment : Collaborate closely with engineering leads, architects, and other product teams to manage dependencies, trade-offs, and ensure feature delivery aligns with technical timelines.
- Agile Execution : Lead the Agile process (scrum / kanban), prioritizing the backlog based on business value, technical complexity, and ROI.
- Performance Monitoring : Define and track key platform metrics (API latency, uptime, adoption rate, cost-per-service) and use data to inform product decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
5+ years of total experience, including 3+ years in a Technical Product Manager role focused on B2B, platform, or API products.Strong technical background (prior experience as a Software Engineer, Architect, or technical consultant is a significant plus).Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful / GraphQL APIs, and system design principles.Proven ability to manage product lifecycle using tools like Jira or Confluence.Experience in defining SLAs / SLOs and driving adoption of internal developer tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences(ref : hirist.tech)
