About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the defence domains to join our cutting-edge R&D and product development team. This role demands a strong foundation in mechanical design for military applications, deep familiarity with defence standards and qualification processes, and a mission-oriented mindset.

You will design, analysis, development, and testing of mechanical systems and subsystems for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), remote weapon stations, survivability systems , and other high-performance platforms. From concept to deployment, you will be instrumental in delivering ruggedized, optimized, and validated mechanical solutions fit for hostile and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical systems and components for land-based defence platforms (e.g., unmanned vehicles, weapon integration, ballistic protection systems).
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs per military standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DEF-STAN, BIS).
• Apply principles of structural mechanics, materials engineering, thermal and fluid dynamics to ensure robust and reliable mechanical designs.
• Perform FEA, CFD, thermal, modal, and tolerance analyses to validate designs under harsh conditions (shock, vibration, dust, water ingress, EMI, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during system integration, prototyping, and field trials on military-grade platforms.
• Prepare and oversee test plans, validation protocols, and qualification campaigns for mechanical subsystems.
• Drive design-for-manufacture and assembly (DFMA) practices and contribute to continuous cost, weight, and performance optimization.
• Ensure full compliance with military design and validation standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Maintain strict configuration control, documentation, and traceability aligned with systems engineering frameworks .
