Role Overview :
We are hiring a proactive and detail-oriented Tutoring Manager to oversee our expanding tutoring operations across international curricula. This hybrid role is ideal for someone based in Bangalore who enjoys working remotely during the week and collaborating in-person with the core team on Saturdays . The manager will be responsible for tutor hiring, class scheduling, academic quality control , and parent communications —ensuring a world-class tutoring experience for students.
Key Responsibilities : ???? Tutor Hiring & Onboarding
- Source, screen, and hire qualified tutors for IB, IGCSE, AS / A-Level, and standardized test prep (SAT / ACT).
- Evaluate tutor demos and align them with academic requirements and teaching standards.
- Lead onboarding sessions and ensure smooth integration of new tutors into platforms and systems.
- ???? Class Scheduling & Management
- Manage weekly 1-on-1 and group class schedules, optimizing tutor availability and student preferences.
- Handle dynamic scheduling scenarios : new enrollments, reschedules, and coverage for absent tutors.
- Ensure session logs, tutor calendars, and reminder systems are always up-to-date.
- ???? Academic Quality Oversight
- Monitor session quality through recordings, feedback, and academic audits.
- Flag and resolve inconsistencies in teaching quality or student learning outcomes.
- Conduct regular tutor reviews and suggest individualized improvement plans.
- ???????????????? Parent Communication & Progress Updates
- Share structured monthly progress reports and learning insights with parents.
- Respond to parent concerns on student performance, scheduling, or academic strategy.
- Facilitate tutor-parent-student alignment for consistent academic progress.
- ???? Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain internal performance dashboards and weekly tutor engagement reports.
- Track student attendance, session completion, and feedback in the LMS or CRM.
- Coordinate with the operations and academic teams to forecast tutor capacity and academic planning.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Education, Management, or a related field.3+ years of experience in academic coordination, tutoring operations, or school / edtech management.Familiarity with international curricula (IB, IGCSE, AS / A-Level) is highly preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Tech-savvy : able to use Google Workspace, CRM tools, LMS platforms, and communication apps efficiently.Based in Bangalore with availability for in-office work on Saturdays .Preferred Skills :
