Job description

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Drafting and Drawing

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software based on engineering specifications and design concepts.
Translate conceptual sketches and technical requirements into accurate technical drawings.
Maintain and update drawing documentation as per project requirements.

Design Coordination

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.

Provide technical support in design development and modifications.

Ensure drawings comply with company standards, engineering codes, and industry norms.

Project Documentation

Maintain proper records of all drawings and revisions.

Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), component layouts, and assembly drawings as needed.

Ensure proper version control and document management.

Quality and Standards Compliance

Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering standards.

Conduct technical checks and revisions before final approval.

Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and quality standards in all drawings.

Mentoring and Guidance

Guide and mentor junior draughtsman in drafting standards and techniques.

Provide training on CAD tools and best practices in drafting.

Required Qualifications :

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

10–15 years of experience as a draughtsman in engineering, construction, or manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and industry standards.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in technical drafting.
