Company Description

WhereFlight is a dynamic startup based out of Dubai, focused in building consumer tools in the aviation industry. Our flagship product is a flight tracking app that helps users find the live status of any flight at their fingertips. Not so unique, right? Well, our vision is to fix the long-existing problem in the aviation industry : UI / UX. Inspired by this, we are building tools to help people navigate the aviation industry with best-in-class products. We launched our first product just a few weeks back, and we are already at 19th rank in Google search results. That shows why a great product is the need of the hour in this industry. Existing aviation products are not intuitive and make it difficult to grasp information, and this is where WhereFlight comes in. Our vision is to make a dent in the aviation industry with our line of products.

Role Description

If you want to see how to build a company from the ground up, this role is suited for you. It won't pay like MNCs, but you would have equity instead. As a founding designer at WhereFlight, you would be brainstorming on fixing existing tools in the aviation industry and making them super cool for new-age users. Since you would be the sole designer, you would work directly with the founder in shaping the app. Being a founding member also means you would be able to wear multiple hats—whether designing or product R&D, you would be everywhere, including meetings with stakeholders and partners. We primarily use Figma for wireframing and Canva for editing.

Qualifications

• Passionate for startups.
• Strong designing skills and should know how to use tools like Figma, Canva etc
• At least 2 years experience in a previous company with similar role.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passionate for aviation industry is a plus point.
