We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Supply Chain Manager (SCM) with a strong background in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) , specifically within the aerospace industry . The successful candidate will have a proven track record in SCM for Electronics and Communications Procurement , with a focus on optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring timely procurement of critical electronic components, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities :
End-to-End Supply Chain Management :
- Oversee the entire supply chain process for electronics and communication components used in aerospace applications, from sourcing to delivery.
- Ensure timely and efficient procurement of electronic parts, circuit boards, avionics systems, sensors, and communication devices.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate logistics for seamless delivery and distribution.
Supplier Management :
Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers of electronic components, ensuring strong communication and timely deliveries.Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure alignment with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards.Procurement Strategy & Planning :
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for electronics and communication systems, tailored to the aerospace industry's needs.Work closely with engineering and product teams to forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.Ensure that procurement processes comply with aerospace industry regulations and standards.Quality Assurance & Compliance :
Ensure that all electronic components and communication systems meet the necessary aerospace certifications and quality standards.Collaborate with the quality control team to assess and manage risks related to component performance and regulatory compliance.Monitor and address any non-compliance issues in the supply chain, working with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.Risk Management & Continuous Improvement :
Identify and mitigate potential risks within the electronics and communication supply chain, including supply disruptions, delays, and quality issues.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.Provide regular updates to senior management on supply chain performance, challenges, and improvements.Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure that procurement strategies align with project timelines and product development requirements.Collaborate with global teams to support international sourcing and supply chain activities.Qualifications & Requirements :
Education :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) , Aerospace Engineering , Supply Chain Management , or related fields.Experience :
5–10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within the aerospace industry, with a focus on electronics and communications procurement.Proven experience managing complex supply chains involving high-tech electronic components, avionics systems, and communication technologies for aerospace applications.Strong understanding of the aerospace industry's procurement processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.Skills & Competencies :
Excellent knowledge of electronics and communication systems used in aerospace, including components like sensors, microchips, circuit boards, and avionics.Proven ability to manage and optimize supply chains, focusing on procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in ERP systems and other supply chain management software tools.Ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams.Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Certifications (Preferred) :
Certification in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Aerospace Quality Management Systems (AS9100) , or related fields would be an advantage.Additional Requirements :
