Position Overview
The DGM – Electronics will be responsible for the planning, execution, management, and continuous improvement of the group's entire IT infrastructure and electronics hardware ecosystem. This leadership role demands deep hands-on experience and strategic vision in IT solutions, networks, and electronics systems, serving the needs of an extensive multi-campus educational organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all IT and electronics-related services, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions for the organization.
- Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of campus-wide IT infrastructure, including data management systems, networking, biometrics, CCTV surveillance, interactive panels, and related hardware.
- Assess and upgrade existing IT and security infrastructure to align with latest technology standards and organizational growth objectives.
- Supervise the procurement, installation, and lifecycle management of IT hardware, AV equipment, and electronic devices across all branches.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative leadership to translate institutional requirements into tailored technology solutions.
- Formulate, monitor, and enforce IT policies, cybersecurity protocols, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Lead vendor management, including negotiation, performance measurement, and contract management for hardware and IT services.
- Recruit, mentor, and direct IT technical teams and support staff; foster ongoing training and capacity building.
- Manage budgets and cost controls related to IT infrastructure upgrades and daily operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve major IT and electronics system issues to ensure minimal disruption to campus activities.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, recommending and piloting enhancements for smarter campus operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management, networking, campus security systems (CCTV, biometrics), and hardware deployment, preferably in large institutions or multi-site organizations.Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain complex campus-wide IT and electronics systems at scale.Strong understanding of data security standards, networking protocols, cloud integrations, and hardware troubleshooting.Experience with educational technology, interactive panels, and AV systems is highly desirable.Demonstrated leadership experience in team management and cross-functional project execution.Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Attributes
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent.Previous experience in educational sector, large corporates, or multi-location enterprises.Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Reporting & Location
Reports to : Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Senior ManagementLocation : Hyderabad, with occasional travel to branch campuses.Job Type : Full-time
