Responsibilities :
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including in-house writers, researchers, curators and illustrators, as well as external partners including architects, execution and design agencies, and government officials.
Lead space and experience design — developing story-driven spatial concepts, narrative frameworks, moodboards, experience flows, scenographic ideas, and early-stage visualizations (including atmospheric renders, thematic layouts, and draft mock-ups) to define the overall design intent and integration of interactive or media technologies.
Craft immersive design solutions that combine spatial layout, storytelling, visual development, lighting design, media integration and scenographic elements for both competition proposals and active ongoing projects while adapting to varying timelines and delivery requirements based on the nature of each project.
Prepare comprehensive reference and execution packs for each project, including :
General arrangement (GA) plans and reflected ceiling plans (RCPs)
Elevations, sections and key construction details
Exploded views / isometrics for complex elements
3D renders and walkthrough views for client and vendor clarity
Annotated drawings with clear dimensions, levels, materials and fixing notes.
Develop drawing and documentation standards (layering, line-weights, naming conventions, title blocks, revision tracking) so that drawings can be easily reinterpreted into shop drawings by external agencies.
Review, comment on and approve shop drawings and prototypes from vendors, ensuring alignment with design intent, structural feasibility, safety norms and museum conservation guidelines.
Support the team with basic quantity take-offs and BOQ alignment where required, flagging design choices that may significantly affect cost, timeline or maintenance.
Ensure designs are responsive to museum environments, with a strong understanding of artefact / tangible exhibit display, conservation considerations, visitor movement, and accessibility.
Maintain workflow discipline, meet project timelines and ensure quality delivery.
Remuneration is commensurate with industry standards.
