The Role
We’re searching for a visionary Art Director who can translate strategy into visual storytelling that moves minds and markets. Someone who thinks in systems, dreams in compositions, and sees AI not as a shortcut—but as a creative superpower.
You’ll define and evolve The Guild’s visual identity across web, print, social, video, events, and emerging platforms. Beyond just art direction, you’ll architect design culture—building processes, teams, and standards that turn every asset into an experience and every story into a statement.
What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve the visual language for all Guild properties, shaping a brand that commands boardrooms and inspires creators alike.
- Lead design across web, social, editorial, motion, events, OOH, and immersive environments—ensuring every touchpoint feels premium, precise, and purposeful.
- Integrate next-gen AI tools (Midjourney, DALL
- E, Runway, Sora, Adobe Firefly, etc.) into creative concepting, storyboarding, and motion pre-visualization.
- Partner with video and production teams to design cinematic visuals, data-driven motion graphics, and storytelling systems that amplify impact.
- Create scalable design systems, asset libraries, and AI prompt databases that accelerate quality and consistency across teams.
- Mentor and guide designers, motion artists, and freelancers—building a culture of critique, curiosity, and creative excellence.
- Collaborate closely with Editorial, Marketing, Product, and Events teams to maintain visual and strategic alignment across all communication channels.
- Ensure every output meets the gold standard—visually striking, strategically sharp, and flawlessly executed.
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in media, digital publishing, or agency environments.Proven ability to translate business strategy into powerful design narratives that resonate with professional audiences.Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma;bonus for 3D and motiontools like Blender, C4D, or Unreal Engine.
Fluency with Gen-AI creative tools (Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Sora, etc.) for ideation, production, and prototyping.Deep understanding of typography, color, composition, motion, and brand systems—with the ability to build and scale them.Strong storytelling and presentation skills—able to sell creative concepts to C-level leaders and non-design stakeholders.High creative standards combined with operational discipline—balancing big ideas with flawless execution.A tastemaker and mentor—someone who uplifts teams, values feedback, and shapes design culture.Vision-led thinker with the ability to push boundaries, not just meet briefs.Must-Have Domain Understanding
