Maintenance In-Charge

Core Responsibilities

• Mechanical Maintenance :
• Manage and lead the team of Fitters, Welders, and Helpers.
• Plan and execute daily maintenance activities for the shift.
• Attend immediately to problems in running reactors.
• Ensure all plant machinery, including Nitrogen Plants , Compressors , Pumps (oil transfer, cooling tower, burner), and utilities, are maintained and in working condition.
• Schedule and follow general and preventive maintenance (e.G., greasing).
• Coordinate with the Electrical Department for repairs of motors and panels.
• Safety & Compliance :
• Ensure the Work Permit System (Hot / Cold work permits) is strictly followed.
• Maintain all firefighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrant lines) in working condition.
• Ensure all works are done according to safety protocols.
• Stores & Inventory :
• Manage and track the consumption of spare parts.
• Review consumption monthly and analyze variances.
• Take corrective action to reduce spare consumption and replace frequently spoiled spares with durable ones.
• Ensure a spare reactor is kept ready.
• Coordination & Reporting :
• Keep in touch with Process / Production departments and Supervisors for live issues.
• Coordinate with external vendors (for fabrication, vehicle repair, AMC visits).
• Report maintenance challenges to the Plant Head daily.
