Sr Maintainence Engineer (Badlapur & Dahej)

Role Description

Ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and utility systems through systematic preventive maintenance, timely project execution, and cost-effective engineering support. Act as the technical interface between production, project, and safety teams to maintain high plant uptime and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

A. Maintenance Management

1.     Plan and execute daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance schedules.

2.     Analyse breakdowns and implement corrective & preventive actions.

3.     Supervise technicians and ensure safe work execution.

4.     Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown analysis, and spares record.

5.     Maintain hydro-testing, calibration, and lifting tools documentation.

6.     Manage critical spare inventory with Purchase & Stores.

B. Project Engineering

7.     Support new project installations and equipment erections.

8.     Coordinate with vendors for fabrication, erection, and commissioning.

9.     Review P&ID drawings and assist in mechanical alignment & instrumentation.

10.  Ensure timelines and budget adherence.

11.  Prepare and verify equipment data sheets and as-built documentation.

C. Cost & Budget Control

12.  Prepare annual maintenance budgets.

13.  Identify cost-saving opportunities.

14.  Assist in vendor evaluation and rate finalization.

D. Safety & Compliance

15.  Ensure compliance with all safety and statutory norms.

16.  Conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments.

17.  Support ISO / GPCB / PESO / CETP documentation.

E. Team Coordination & Reporting

18.  Guide junior technicians and coordinate with production.

19.  Prepare daily and weekly maintenance reports.

20.  Escalate critical failures with RCA and CAPA recommendations.

4. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Technical : Rotary & static equipment maintenance, piping fabrication, P&ID interpretation, hydro testing, instrumentation basics.
• Soft Skills : Analytical thinking, problem-solving, documentation discipline, team coordination.
• Tools : MS Excel / Maintenance Logs / AutoCAD (Basic).
