Sr. Estimation & Design Manager - Fire Detection / Suppression
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Sr. Estimation & Design Manager with over 3+ years of extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of Electronic Security, Fire Detection / Suppression, and Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS). This pivotal role will oversee all design and engineering functions, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Engineering :
- Responsible for the complete design & engineering function within the organization.
- Ensure the release and review of all designs and detailed work to be executed within timelines.
- Ensure all designs adhere to NFPA rules and regulations and meet all compliance standards.
- Provide efficient technical presentations to clients .
- Project Support & Execution :
- Support and provide technical assistance to Project Managers and Site Engineers for successful execution (high-quality execution and timely completion of projects).
- Establish effective communication and coordination with vendors, consultants, and clients .
- Visit sites to ensure installation and commissioning are done as per design requirements.
- Ensure accurate capturing and maintenance of all Reports and MIS within the time-frame.
- Ensure proper handover of all relevant documents to clients upon project completion.
- Presales & Optimization :
- Actively involved in Presales Support to ensure offers sent to clients are technically correct.
- Follow an active and efficient mechanism for As-Built Drawings to ensure timely project closure.
- Ensure optimization of project costs through line balancing, verification of expenses, and adherence to project plans.
- Inter-Department Alignment :
- Improve supply chain and project processes for more effective material planning .
- Cross-functional planning with the Supply Chain function for reduction of Lead Time .
- Ensure the Design Plan is in coherence with the Project Plan, with weekly reviews with respective Project Managers.
- Improve processes and tighten quality control to reduce wastage and Poor Quality (PQ).
- MIS & Reports :
- Submission of Design trackers for all open projects.
- Prepare Do's and Don'ts for every system.
- Handle all internal and external escalation queries regarding documents, comments on observations, and settlement concerning assigned projects.
- Other Responsibilities :
- Ensure 100% Design compliance at all times.
- Share learnings from past projects and implement them in new projects.
- Learn at least two new system designs from the OEM.
Qualifications
