Group Leader - Application Testing

Job Description

Identifying rules and data required for testing various portals

Drafting and documenting test cases and test results for testing

Perform manual testing of suite of web applications developed by client in different environments

Track & resolve reported defects using Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Preparing test report

Collaborated with the development and testing teams in an offshore – onsite model

Working on testing mobile application on android and iPhone devices.

Perform Analysis of the inquiries / queries raised by clients and document them using our BRD / SRD templates and determine their relevance and impact as per our system

Clarified and prioritized requirements by conducting brainstorming sessions with the stakeholders and SMEs

Preparation of Test Cases, Test Reports, Use Cases, BRD, and various workflow diagrams

Created wire frames for different dashboard and screens using Balsamiq mock-up tool for different web functionalities to communicate visual data flow to the end user

Understanding service objectives and capturing business requirements through active listening & questioning techniques

Performing sanity / smoke testing of implemented code

Drafting and documenting Test cases and Test results for testing

Resolving and / or escalating complex matters to the Project Manager in a timely manner

Point of Contact for the Development team and business team

Collaborated with the development and testing teams and finalized work estimates for the project

Job REQUIREMENTs

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria :

Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role for 2-3 years

Experience in project management and QA methodology

Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus

Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL

Excellent communication skills

Attention to detail

Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude

Strong organizational skills

Engineering, BSc / BA in Computer Science, or a related field
