Generative AI / Data Governance Consultant

Role Overview :

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced GenAI Data Governance Consultant certified by GARP to lead the design, implementation, and oversight of governance frameworks tailored for Generative AI initiatives.

This role ensures compliance, security, and ethical use of AI / ML datasets through robust policies, standards, and controls.

The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed responsible AI practices, mitigate risks such as bias, and maintain data integrity and transparency within AI models.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define, develop, and implement governance frameworks specific to Generative AI initiatives, focusing on compliance, security, ethical data use, and regulatory adherence.
• Collaborate with AI / ML model teams, data engineers, and business stakeholders to establish policies and standards that maintain high-quality, secure, and traceable datasets.
• Manage data lineage, metadata, and data quality processes to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the AI / ML lifecycle.
• Advise and enforce responsible AI practices including bias detection, explainability, fairness, and compliance with emerging AI regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in risk assessments and audits of AI systems, helping to identify vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with advances in AI governance, ethics, legal frameworks, and industry best practices to continuously evolve the governance program.
• Facilitate training and awareness sessions to promote understanding of AI data governance and ethical AI use across the organization.
