Description :
As an AI Project Manager, you will orchestrate AI, computational chemistry, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact ML solutions powering physics-based simulations, molecular property prediction, and automated drug design.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own day-to-day execution of AI / ML projects across molecular modeling, target prediction, generative design, and simulation automation programs.
- Manage sprint planning, resource allocation, technical dependencies, and delivery schedules across global cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with scientists to translate research goals such as improving docking accuracy or expanding force-field coverage into executable engineering plans.
- Coordinate integration of ML models into computational chemistry platforms, APIs, and enterprise cloud environments.
- Track model performance metrics (AUC, RMSE, inference latency), scientific validation results, and release readiness.
- Conduct risk assessment for scientific feasibility, data quality, ML reproducibility, and architectural scalability.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory and scientific reproducibility standards expected by pharma clients.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, status reports, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications :
5+ years experience managing AI / ML, biotech, or scientific software projects.Familiarity with computational chemistry workflows, molecular data formats (SDF, PDB, SMILES), and ML model development lifecycles.Experience with agile, Jira, Confluence, Git, cloud ML pipelines, and engineering best practices.(ref : hirist.tech)
