Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Sourcing & Vendor Development with strong expertise in Fasteners (mandatory) along with experience in at least one additional direct/indirect procurement category. The candidate must come from the Consumer Appliances industry and should be capable of managing multi-category sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing activities for Fasteners (mandatory) and at least one additional category (e.g., plastics, sheet metal, stamping, casting, packaging, electronics, rubber, etc.).

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for fasteners and other categories.

• Conduct supplier audits covering cost, quality, capacity, and capability.

• Manage RFQ, price negotiation, rate contracts, and long-term agreements.

• Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SCM, and Production teams for material qualification, trials, and approvals.

• Ensure supplier adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

• Monitor vendor performance: pricing, quality consistency, and OTIF delivery.

• Develop sourcing strategies to ensure supply assurance and mitigate risks.

• Maintain documentation, dashboards, procurement records, and supplier performance reports.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in Sourcing / Vendor Development.

• Mandatory: Hands-on experience in Fasteners sourcing (screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, special fasteners).

• Experience in any additional category (plastics, sheet metal, casting, electronics, packaging etc.).

• Only candidates from the Consumer Appliances industry (white goods, small appliances, consumer durables).

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.

• Excellent understanding of technical drawings, BOM, tolerances, and costing.

• Ability to handle multiple vendors and large SKU portfolios.

• Strong coordination and documentation skills.
