Senior electrical engineer (PV Power Pants utility scale 20 MW – 100 MW)

International Consolidated Contractors ICC is hiring for the position of Senior electrical engineer (PV Power Pants utility scale 20 MW – 100 MW).

The selected candidate will be based in West Africa (Liberia / Nigeria) , with regular visits to our head office in Beirut .

Duties and responsibilities :

The senior electrical engineer shall be capable of performing the following functions for an EPC international company active in Africa & the Middle East :

1.       Testing & commissioning of AC & DC systems for solar photovoltaic systems & integration with utility existing grids to include the following :

PV modules & arrays

Inverters (string or central)

Combiner boxes

Totalizers

LV Switchgear and protection

MV Switchgear and protection (11 kV up to 33 kV)

HV Switchgear and protection (66 kV up to 220 kV)

Power transformers (LV / MV / HV)

Cables

BESS

UPS

Diesel generators

SCADA

2.       Design of complete PV power plant utility scale 20 MW – 100 MW.

Qualifications :

Electrical engineering degree with at least 10 years’ experiences out of which 5 years in utility scale PV power plants.

Capable of using AutoCAD.

Capable of using PVSyst software.

Capable of using ETAP software.

Proficiency in English language. French knowledge would be a plus.

Assessment of existing conditions at site and provide recommendations.

Preparation of material take-off.

Preparation and review of construction package including drawings, specifications, manuals, material take-off, vendor data sheets, etc.

Preparation of as-built drawings.

Fair knowledge of balance of systems in PV plants to include support structures, buildings, wireway, trenching, etc.

Familiarity with applicable international standards : IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and SCADA communication protocols.

Excellent technical reporting and documentation skills.
