Salary : $146,705 - $164,506 (Plus 12% Super)

About the Role :
Staff Development Unit (SDU) is the largest area of training within Canberra Health Services (CHS), reporting to the Executive Director, Office of Research and Education. SDU is located on the Canberra Hospital Campus and provides a key coordination role for learning and teaching in CHS. SDU provides education and training for clinical, technical, and administrative staff via a broad range of programs which are based on legislation, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS), CHS Policy and the needs of both staff and consumers. SDU develops many of the eLearning programs and manages the learning management system (LMS), reporting and the Governance Procedure for Mandatory, Required and Area Specific Training.
The purpose of this role is to manage the Occupational Violence (OV) and Manual Tasks (MT) Education programs and teams to ensure training aligns with the CHS OV Procedure and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System and legislative requirements. This role provides expertise and direction to ensure that the OV and MT training needs of CHS are planned and delivered using a risk management approach and organisational needs. This role will consult on strategic learning and development projects and implement and monitor WHS and quality improvement initiatives for OV and MT.
You will be required to work as part of an inter-professional education team providing targeted training courses for staff in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings across CHS.
