You will own strategy, roadmap, development, launch, and continuous improvement, working cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, QA, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to bring innovative, commercially successful solutions to market.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Define multi-year product vision and roadmap across several product lines (lighting, controls, EV, IoT).
- Conduct market, competitor, and regulatory research; translate findings into business cases and go-to-market (GTM) recommendations.
- Quantify opportunities using data-driven models and financial metrics.
Development & Execution
Own creation of Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.Partner with Engineering to drive architecture, design reviews, and system testing plans.Ensure products meet quality, safety, and compliance standards through rigorous validation and field trials.Launch & Iteration
Plan and orchestrate pre-launch pilots, beta programs, and training for internal and channel partners.Lead post-launch tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption, reliability, cost, and margin.Drive continuous improvement cycles using customer feedback and analytics.Leadership & Collaboration
Act as the voice of the customer inside the organization.Influence without authority across engineering, supply-chain, finance, and executive teams.Mentor junior PMs and contribute to best-practice frameworks and tools.Qualifications
Experience : 8–10 years total, including 5+ years as a Product Manager shipping multiple B2B or B2B2C hardware or IoT products (lighting, controls, EV chargers, or related electronics).Technical Acumen : Solid understanding of electronic hardware design, firmware, and system integration; ability to challenge engineering trade-offs and conduct root-cause analysis.Lifecycle Mastery : Proven success across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases, from initial concept to sustaining engineering.Analytical Strength : Advanced data analysis and modelling skills; decisions grounded in metrics.Testing Rigor : Experience defining validation plans, coordinating lab and field testing, and signing off on mass-production readiness.Soft Skills : Cognitive aptitude in the 280–300 range (or equivalent assessment) demonstrating strong problem-solving ability. Operates effectively both independently and as a highly collaborative team member, adjusting style from reserved deep-focus work to outward-facing stakeholder engagements. Precise communicator—written, verbal, and visual—able to distil complex ideas into crisp narratives. Self-driving, resourceful, and comfortable owning outcomes under ambiguous conditions.Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, or related discipline; MBA or master’s in a technical field is a plus.
Bonus : Exposure to energy efficiency programs, building-automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), UL / ETL compliance, or utility rebate processes.
