Role Purpose
The Marketing Manager – Content & Social Media will be responsible for the strategic planning, creation, and execution of digital content and social media campaigns for Global Indian International School, Kuala Lumpur. The role will focus on enhancing the brand’s digital footprint, improving engagement metrics, and supporting the overall marketing and admissions objectives. This is a hands-on, individual contributor position requiring creativity, digital expertise, and cross-functional collaboration across teams in India and Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Development
- Develop and execute an annual content calendar aligned with school marketing objectives and admissions cycles.
- Create high-quality content for web, blog, social media, and marketing collaterals.
- Generate engaging storytelling pieces on student success, school achievements, and community initiatives.
- Ensure content quality, tone, and consistency across platforms.
Social Media Management
Develop and manage social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.Execute paid and organic campaigns to drive awareness, reach, and lead generation.Monitor and report on engagement, trends, and audience insights.Innovate new formats and approaches to enhance brand recall and digital visibility.Brand Communication & Collaboration
Liaise with the GIIS KL marketing and admissions teams to align campaigns with institutional goals.Coordinate with internal stakeholders for content requirements and event promotions.Manage external agencies and vendors for design, content production, and paid media execution.D. Performance Analytics & Reporting
Measure digital campaign performance through analytics tools.Generate monthly performance reports with insights and optimization plans.Use data-driven insights to refine future campaigns and improve engagement ROI.Qualifications & Experience
Education :
Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.Experience :
7–10 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content strategy.Prior experience in education, lifestyle, or service sectors preferred.Proven ability to independently manage digital campaigns, content production, and analytics.Technical & Functional Skills :
Proficiency in social media tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).Understanding of SEO, SEM, and web analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console).Familiarity with creative tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.Behavioral Competencies :

Base Location : India (remote or designated office as per business need), preferably Mumbai.Travel Requirement : Periodic travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for marketing campaigns, school events, and content initiatives.Working Hours : Standard business hours with flexibility to align with Malaysia operations when required.
