Role : L2 & L3 Protocol test Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set

• L2 : VLANs, xSTP, LACP, LLDP, VRRP, Mac learning, ARP, Q in Q

L3 : OSPF, BGP, ISIS, QOS

Experience Range - 4-6 years

Location : Hyderabad

Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

Experience in L2 & L3 Protocols testing

Familiarity with traffic test equipment like ixia and Spirent.

Ability to understand end to end regression testing work flow at technology area and platform / product level

Having experience and capability in solving complex issues in testing.

High quality debugging skills, ascertaining the reason for failure, distinguish between a SW bug or otherwise precisely.

Test automation frameworks, tools and scripting languages is a must and preferably in Python, Robot framework.

Strong analytical skills to debug and isolate problems.

Aptitude to learn new technology quickly and adapt to new feature testing / new assignments faster.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities include, test planning, test script execution, defect analysis & tracking, and script fixing and test reports.

Good exposure in following technologies :

Routing & switching architectures.

L2 : VLANs, xSTP, LACP, LLDP, VRRP, Mac learning, ARP, Q in Q

L3 : OSPF, BGP, ISIS

QOS

Firewalls & Policer

ECMP & load balancing.

Familiarity with traffic test equipment like ixia and Spirent.
