Key Responsibilities :

AVD Monitoring & Management :

  • Monitor AVD infrastructure performance and availability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Workbooks.
  • Manage session hosts, load balancing, and host pool performance.
  • Conduct routine health checks of AVD components.

User Provisioning & Session Management :

  • Create and manage user assignments, host pool registrations, and resource groups.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot FSLogix profiles and storage containers.
  • Manage user access policies and application assignments.

    • Troubleshooting & Support :

  • Handle escalated issues related to :

    • 1. User login failures or profile load errors

    2. FSLogix profile corruption or slow logins

    3. Remote application access

  • Printer redirection and USB device redirection issues
  • Use diagnostic tools and PowerShell scripts to analyze and resolve problems.

    • Configuration & Optimization :

  • Support image management and golden image deployments.
  • Implement best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain session timeouts, autoscaling rules, and user limits.

    • Integration & Scripting :

  • Use PowerShell scripting for automation, user / session management, and reporting.
  • Integrate with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device and policy management.

    • Documentation & Collaboration :

  • Maintain documentation for system procedures, incidents, and change logs.
  • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams for project implementations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 2- 4 years of relevant experience in Azure Cloud, AVD, or VDI environments

    • In-depth knowledge of :

  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) architecture and services
  • FSLogix user profile management
  • Active Directory, Group Policies, and Azure AD
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 / 11 multi-session environments

    • Strong troubleshooting skills in :

  • AVD session connectivity
  • Remote application performance
  • Profile loading issues

    • Hands-on with :

  • PowerShell scripting
  • Remote Desktop Clients and Azure support tools
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) (preferred)
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)

    • Nice to Have :

  • Exposure to Citrix, VMware Horizon, or other VDI technologies
  • Knowledge of Azure Automation, ARM templates, or Terraform
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-140) are a plus
