Job Title : Software Engineer II - iOS

Location : 7-Eleven Global Solution Center, India

Job Description :

We are seeking a talented Senior iOS Developer to join our mobile development team. This role focuses on building high-quality navigation-based applications leveraging Google Maps, Apple Maps, and related APIs. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable iOS applications with real-time tracking, route optimization, and driving-focused features, working closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and maintain advanced iOS apps with navigation, mapping, and real-time tracking features.

Integrate Google Maps, Apple Maps, and location frameworks for routing and turn-by-turn navigation.

Build drive-centric features such as trip management, route optimization, and vehicle tracking.

Collaborate on scalable app architectures with clean coding practices.

Work with product teams to define and deliver navigation-related features.

Optimize app performance, map rendering, and GPS tracking.

Conduct code reviews and resolve technical issues, especially around maps and location services.

Manage App Store releases and support CI / CD pipelines.

Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.

Required Qualifications :

5+ years of iOS development experience.

Strong expertise in Swift (Objective-C optional).

Hands-on experience with Google Maps API, Apple Maps, or equivalent mapping libraries.

Knowledge of iOS frameworks such as Core Location, MapKit, Core Data, and Core Animation.

Proven track record in route optimization or drive-based applications.

Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling location-based data.

Knowledge of design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).

Experience publishing and managing apps in the App Store.

Proficiency with Git and CI / CD pipelines for iOS development.

Preferred Qualifications :

Familiarity with libraries like Alamofire or Realm.

Experience with unit / UI testing using XCTest.

Knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for UI design.

Skills in memory management and performance optimization.

Experience with cloud services such as Firebase or AWS for geospatial data.

Exposure to Agile / Scrum environments.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
