Role Overview

We’re seeking a Sales Manager to drive architect and interior designer partnerships and deliver strong sales performance. This role is central to MaterialKart’s growth, combining relationship-building with measurable sales outcomes. You’ll own the full funnel from designer onboarding to conversion and retention, ensuring every designer has a seamless experience from requirement to order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with architects, interior designers, and design studios.
  • Understand project requirements, recommend suitable materials, and coordinate sample deliveries.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to closure and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams for timely sampling and delivery.
  • Maintain strong post-sales relationships to drive referrals and recurring projects.
  • Represent MaterialKart at industry events, meetups, and exhibitions to expand the designer community.
  • Track sales and conversion metrics, providing feedback to improve product-market fit.

Who You Are

  • 2–5 years of experience in B2B or specification sales (preferred sectors : tiles, sanitaryware, lighting, or interiors e.g., roles at Kohler, Jaquar, or Asian Paints).
  • Proven success in building and managing architect / designer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in-person and digital.
  • Strong understanding of design workflows and material selection cycles.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
