We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Engineer - Hydraulic & Lubrication to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy electrical equipment, with a specific focus on hydraulic and lubrication systems. This role is crucial for improving product quality and reliability by leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) , driving solutions to mitigate known failures, and fostering a quality culture through initiatives like Six Sigma . You will be a key player in investigating field failures, managing improvement projects, and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality & RCA : Support the process of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for failures. Enhance preventive actions and mitigate known failure modes in new designs. Encourage a quality culture by mentoring engineers on Six Sigma and quality improvement projects.
- Failure Investigation : Investigate field-reported turbine failures by collaborating with site technicians and design engineers. Conduct RCA and assess the impact on the fleet, coordinating with all affected stakeholders.
- Solution Management : Identify short- and long-term actions to mitigate failure effects. Manage the development of improvement solutions and test specifications.
- Knowledge & Safety : Maintain the knowledge base and facilitate the sharing of learnings and best practices. Look for safety data from the value chain and drive solution implementations.
- Alarm & Warranty Management : Handle alarms and warranty cases, including investigating false alarm triggers.
- Communication : Prepare inputs for customer and stakeholder communications.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a similar specialization .An engineering degree in Design for Six Sigma (Green / Black Belt) is a significant advantage.Proven experience in heavy electrical equipment, preferably within the wind industry .Strong experience using 7QC tools for RCA and investigating failure data.Competencies
Technical Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and lubrication systems (pumps, heat exchangers, solenoid valves, panels) and the ability to read schematics.Problem-Solving : Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning. Experience with quality tools like DMAIC cycles, Six Sigma, SCRUM , and gate models is a plus.Documentation : Proficiency in SLD, Schematics, and GA Reports .Field Experience : Field testing and verification experience with hydraulic and lubrication systems is beneficial.Skills Required
