We're looking for a highly skilled Lead Loads Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wind turbine load calculations and a deep understanding of how climatic parameters affect turbine performance. This role is crucial for ensuring the site suitability and structural integrity of our wind turbines. You will act as a Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert , providing solutions, supporting sales with essential documentation, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Load Calculations & Simulations : Perform advanced wind turbine load calculations , controller customizations, and climate-dependent power curve simulations to assess site suitability.
- Technical Expertise : Act as a Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert, providing solutions to the siting team. Conduct structural and reliability assessments on major wind turbine components to confirm their structural integrity.
- Process Improvement : Innovate and propose ideas for process improvements and automations to enhance lead time and task quality within the team.
- Stakeholder Management : Proficiently manage planning and stakeholders. Support the sales team by providing necessary documentation related to wind turbine loads and performance.
- Global Collaboration : Work effectively with a global organization and multiple stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Civil, or other relevant engineering disciplines .Proven working experience with a strong focus on wind turbine load calculations , particularly for site suitability assessments.Well-versed in the fundamentals of wind turbine performance and relevant climatic parameters.Programming knowledge in Matlab, Python , or other relevant languages is a must.Competencies
