We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered Professor with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Educational Technology. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical knowledge with creative teaching strategies, leveraging tools such as Python, Scratch, and advanced AI frameworks to engage and empower learners across a range of educational levels.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum Development
- Design and deliver engaging, hands-on courses in :
- AI Fundamentals
- Python Programming
- Applied AI for middle school, high school, and undergraduate students
- Lead students through exciting, real-world projects, such as :
- Building AI assistants (e.g., MyMiniAlexa, Jarvis)
- Creating Scratch-based games and AI-driven simulations
- Developing image classification and object detection models (e.g, YOLO)
- Facilitate critical discussions around AI ethics, societal impact, and emerging technologies
Research & Innovation
Conduct applied research in areas such as :AI in educationGame-based learningHuman–AI interactionSupervise student research projects, particularly those exploring :Generative AIVoice assistantsComputer vision and image recognitionMentorship & Leadership
Mentor students through beginner to advanced project developmentCollaborate with interdisciplinary faculty to embed AI across broader curriculaLead professional development workshops for educators on integrating AI tools in the classroomRequired Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, AI / ML, Educational Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional expertise)Strong proficiency in Python programming and AI / ML librariesExperience with key educational and AI platforms, including :Scratch (for introductory programming and creative computing)Google Colab, Anaconda (for model training and deployment)AI / ML APIs (e.g., Cohere, Groq, etc.)Object detection tools such as YOLOProven teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary levelAbility to communicate complex concepts effectively to younger learners (Grades 7–9)Preferred Qualifications
