Role Overview

Platonix is hiring a Live Streaming & OTT Engineer to design, build and scale live and VOD streaming systems for interactive wellbeing experiences. Deep, hands‑on experience with AWS IVS, Amazon Chime SDK, and web / live streaming is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize live + VOD workflows using AWS Media Services (MediaLive, MediaConvert, MediaPackage, MediaStore, IVS, CloudFront).
• Build low‑latency, interactive streaming with AWS IVS, Amazon Chime SDK, WebRTC, LL‑HLS, RTMP and SRT.
• Design ABR encoding / transcoding workflows and optimize encoding ladders and CDN usage.
• Implement DRM and content protection (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady).
• Integrate interactivity (chat, overlays, synchronized metadata, event‑driven actions).
• Monitor and improve QoE (latency, buffering, bitrates, errors, CDN performance).
• Troubleshoot issues across web, mobile and connected devices.
• Automate streaming operations with scripting (Python, Bash, Node.js).
