Position : Tax Review Specialist
Type : Independent Contractor
Compensation : $50–$60 / hour
Location : Remote
Commitment : Flexible hours
Role Responsibilities
- Review various U.S. federal and state tax returns and related forms / schedules.
- Extract concise insights such as filing status, income sources, and deductions / credits.
- Create verification checklists and follow-up questions to confirm accuracy.
- Flag anomalies and edge cases like multi-state moves and amended filings.
- Analyze tax returns to document key findings and verify facts.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project demands.
Qualifications
Must-Have
CPA or EA, and 4+ years of experience in U.S. individual / business tax preparation.Strong knowledge of Form 1040 ecosystems and state equivalents.Excellent written communication skills.Detail-oriented with sound judgment on materiality and data quality.Comfortable working with provided materials and following confidentiality guidelines.Start Date
