Position : Accounting AI Specialist

Type : Independent Contractor

Compensation : $45–$100 / hour

Location : Remote or in-person (Palo Alto, CA)

Commitment : Part-time

Role Responsibilities

  • Use proprietary software to label, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to accounting.
  • Solve and critique problems in forensic analysis, managerial budgeting, and quantitative finance.
  • Record short audio or video segments as part of model training datasets.
  • Work closely with technical teams to refine annotation workflows and tools.
  • Adapt to evolving task instructions and apply sound judgment with limited information.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Master's degree, PhD, or CPA in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • Strong command of accounting research tools (e.g., FASB Codification, IRS publications, EDGAR).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interpret complex task instructions.
  • Demonstrated interest in accounting technology or innovation.
