Key Responsibilities :
Mechanical Erection :
- Wind Turbine Assembly : Lead and supervise the assembly of mechanical components of wind turbines, including nacelles, rotors, hubs, and drivetrain systems.
- Installation Oversight : Manage the installation of turbine components, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and operational integrity of mechanical systems.
- Hydraulic and Electrical Systems : Oversee the integration of hydraulic and mechanical systems in turbines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Tool and Equipment Management : Ensure that all tools and equipment used in the mechanical erection are safe, functional, and meet project requirements.
Civil Erection :
Foundation Construction : Oversee the construction of turbine foundations, including excavation, reinforcement, and concrete pouring as per design specifications.Site Preparation : Supervise civil works, including access road construction, crane pad preparation, and site leveling to ensure suitability for wind turbine erection.Geotechnical Coordination : Work with geotechnical engineers to ensure that soil conditions and foundation designs are appropriate for the installation of wind turbines.Structural Integrity : Ensure that all civil works meet safety standards, local codes, and engineering specifications.Coordination and Supervision :
Team Management : Supervise and coordinate on-site construction teams, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and adhere to safety and quality standards.Collaboration : Collaborate closely with other departments, including electrical, safety, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless integration of all turbine components.Subcontractor Oversight : Manage subcontractors involved in mechanical and civil works, ensuring work is performed according to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.Scheduling and Planning : Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules for mechanical and civil erection activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.Quality Control and Compliance :
Quality Assurance : Ensure that all mechanical and civil erection work is carried out according to technical specifications, drawings, and quality control standards.Inspection and Testing : Conduct inspections of completed work and perform required testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards before turbine commissioning.Documentation : Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including progress reports, material usage, and any deviations from plans or specifications.Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management :
Safety Leadership : Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies throughout the mechanical and civil erection process.Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks during erection activities and take proactive steps to mitigate hazards and maintain a safe working environment.Safety Audits : Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with site-specific safety regulations and industry standards.
