Job Description : Guest Service Associate – Restaurants
Role Overview
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for delivering an excellent dining experience by welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. This role requires a friendly attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, making them feel comfortable and valued upon arrival.
- Manage and coordinate reservations, maintain an organized seating plan, and assist with waiting lists.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams, and ensure timely service.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, adhering to hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Handle billing, process payments, and address any guest concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas; assist in setup and closing activities.
- Support team members and work collaboratively to create a seamless and pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Uphold health, safety, and restaurant operational standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training preferred.Previous experience in customer service or restaurant / hospitality environment is desirable.Strong communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask, remain organized, and stay calm under pressure.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Core Skills
