Android Software Engineer (Mid)

Deltatre’s Android development team builds applications to run on millions of Android mobiles, tablets and TVs and provides the best user experience for watching video on-demand (movies and series) and live sport streams.

As an Android engineer, you will pioneer new ways for consumers to interact with technology and deliver world-class experiences on emerging technologies working for major sports organisations, rights owners, media companies, and some of the world’s leading broadcasters.

As a Mid-Level Engineer, you will contribute to the development of new user-facing features for Android using Kotlin and Java, help build reusable components and libraries for future use, translate designs and wireframes into high quality code, and optimize components for maximum performance across a range of devices. You will collaborate with other developers across regions, adhering to and contributing to Deltatre Engineering procedures, code conventions and best practices.

For this role you must be able to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days working in the Mumbai office in Goregaon.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features for Android using Kotlin and Java
• Contributing to building reusable components and libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code
• Optimizing components for performance across a range of devices and screen sizes including mobiles, tablets, and TVs
• Collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to analyze and implement technical requirements
• Participating in technical discussions and proactively raising potential challenges or improvements
• Writing unit tests and contributing to maintaining code quality through reviews and documentation
• Following established engineering procedures, code conventions, and best practices
• Staying up to date with Android development trends and sharing insights with the team
