Lead / Senior Patent Associate - US Patent Prosecution - Chemistry / Life Sciences

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead / Senior Patent Associate to join our patent drafting and prosecution team with a degree in Life Sciences (preferably Chemistry), based in Bengaluru. The individual in this role will be primarily responsible for independently handling primarily US patent prosecution related to all Life Sciences cases. The role also requires handling patent drafting projects, reviewing the work of junior associates, and independently handling client communication. Registered Indian patent agents are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in US Patent Prosecution and Drafting
• Master's or advanced degree in Life sciences (preferably chemistry) is a must
• Must have worked on a minimum of 100 Office Actions and drafted at least 40 non-provisional patent applications
• Must have an expert knowledge of US patent laws
• Ability to work independently on projects is a must
• Experience in handling client communications
• Registered Indian patent agent preferred, but not mandatory.
• Experience in handling IPO and EPO prosecution and drafting is preferred, not mandatory.
• Experience in training juniors and reviewing their work is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
