Global Servicing (GS) is the foundation of American Express' world-class customer experience, supporting Consumer, Corporate, and Merchant customers across the globe. Within GS, the Global Consumer Servicing & Fulfilment (GCSF) organization unites colleagues and partners who deliver extraordinary service every day. Global Partner & Operational Support (GPOS) and its Partner Strategy, Management, and Oversight (PSMO) team manage third-party providers and drives excellence through strategic partnerships and seamless service delivery. The GS Business Unit (BU) Lead team connects enterprise third-party governance with business execution across GS.

How will you make an impact in this role

The American Express Third-Party Lifecycle Management (TLM) Program ensures effective oversight and governance of third parties, helping safeguard our customers, shareholders, and brand. The program promotes compliance with regulatory requirements, enhances transparency into third-party performance, and drives accountability across the enterprise.

Our Global Servicing (GS) TLM Lead team ensures that our business unit manages third parties in alignment with the enterprise-wide TLM and Alternate Practices Program. We oversee the execution of TLM activities and serve as primary liaisons between the enterprise TLM Program and Third-Party Relationship Managers (TRMs).

As part of this team, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to meet AXP risk performance requirements and drive accountability in third-party oversight. This role offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in third-party risk management, build strong cross-functional relationships, and further develop your leadership skills.

The GS TLM Lead will help drive performance, consistency, and compliance globally across GS in executing TLM and vendor oversight activities. You'll provide daily support for a range of TLM-related activities, including control evidence reviews, risk assessments, and documentation. We are a highly collaborative team with an entrepreneurial mindset, focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and roll out vendor oversight activities to Third-Party Relationship Managers (TRMs) ensure deadlines are met. Oversee accurate and timely completion of third-party assessments and terminations.
  • Train and educate TRMs on changes and enhancements driven by TLM program management
  • Perform quality reviews on control evidence and risk assessments, providing feedback as needed
  • Manage multiple deliverables and priorities to completion and meet deadlines
  • Track, report, and analyze GS TLM activities, performance, and trends
  • Drive improvements and process enhancements help remove obstacles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Third Party Lifecycle Management (TLM) or Risk Management, including conducting or supporting risk assessments.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills with proven attention to detail
  • Energetic, curious self-starter with the ability to learn in unstructured settings and proactively build subject-matter expertise.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling a variety of job duties, with the ability to move from one thing to another.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and an undefined day.
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and explore how emerging tools like AI can elevate our work and impact.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools and leading Webex meetings.
