Wiring Harness Engineer

Job Purpose (Significance Of The Role & Objectives)

The job purpose is to support the design and integration of LV and HV Wiring Harness into vehicle, plan prototype builds, validate Design, Prepare vehicle level and component level and architecture / schematics and update DFMEA. The role requires a bachelor's degree, 2 to 4 years of experience, knowledge of Wiring Harness Design, Cross-functioning with Design Team for Wiring Integration, and good DFMEA skills. teamwork is necessary to achieve functional, cost, weight, timing, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities And Deliverables

• Assist in the Design and Validation of Wiring Harness for vehicle electrical and electronic (EE) architecture.
• Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, Connector, electrification, DMU, packaging, and related Engineering requirements.
• Understanding of functioning of various control systems, ECUs, Electrical- Electronic functions inside the Passenger cars.
• Technical expertise of Vehicle Schematics development
• Component selection and finalization
• Creation of Test benches for Subsystem level testing
• Execute within timelines and achieve development milestones during vehicle development.
• Responsible for technical documentation.
• Awareness of relevant Legal requirements and system level functions and Testing.
• Understanding of Product development process & Project timelines
• Experience of handling field issues, idea generation & problem solving.
• Awareness of future technological advancement in Wiring Harness development such as Battery, High Voltage will be an added advantage.
• Tool : Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, PREEVision , CAD- 3D
