Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC / AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG’s global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

• Provide legal support and advice to management on relevant legal issues
• Provie legal support and advice to business and support functions for various day to day operational matters
• Drafting, Reviewing and vetting of various contractual documents, like Inter Affiliate Agreement (IAA), Vendor Contracts, SOWs, Addendums, NDA etc.
• Draft and continually review various standard templates of contracts, NDA to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as company standard templates
• Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities
• Handle litigation, as and when required.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the Board, CEO and other senior business leaders, providing legal, financial and strategic advice.
• Keep up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function
• To assist Company Secretary of MES India in various corporate secretarial activities (both periodic and event based);
• Assist the Company Secretary to conduct, convene and record meetings of the Board of Directors, EXCO, Management Committees etc in close coordination with internal stakeholders.
• To maintain and update statutory records and ensure all statutory filings are completed within timelines.
• Liaise with external consultants such as lawyers, auditors and CS retainer.
• Work collaboratively across functional teams within the Company to ensure effective and efficient operations.
• Engage and collaborate with the teams for ensuring improved understanding of the requirements and promote better adherence and enhanced risk control over the guideline
