We're building India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with a Schottky FEG - fully designed and manufactured in-house. If you're interested in deep-tech hardware and want to own the electronics backbone of a flagship scientific / semiconductor instrument, this is your role.
Q. What will I build?
You will be responsible for the design of the electronics stack inside the SEM :
- Design mixed signal PCB assemblies for the SEM : precision analog frontends, low-noise drivers, digital control, I / O.
- Design precision current / voltage control circuits for the electron source, lenses, coils with a focus on stability, low drift, and low noise.
- Own signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMI / EMC in a very noise, high-voltage, high-vacuum environment.
- Collaborate with chief scientist, electron optics, and mechanical leads to turn system level requirements into the electronics outlay.
- Bring up and debug boards in the lab with a focus on high iteration velocity and hands-on experimentation
- Design for manufacturability, reliability, and safety from the initial prototypes to production.
Q. What experience should I have?
Degree in Electrical / Electronics engineering (or equivalent) with deep hands-on experience in board-level design.Strong foundation in analog, mixed signal and power electronics design.Solid experience with one or more PCB and circuit simulation tools.Comfort working around high-voltage / high-current systems with a focus on isolation, and safety (even if you haven't designed full PSUs yourself).Proven track record of taking boards from concept to fabrication to iteration.Nice to have : Experience with scientific instruments, semiconductor tools, medical devices or precision instruments. Familiarity with FPGA / MCU-based control and high-speed digital interfaces. Why You should Join
You'll architect the electronics for a flagship instrument from the ground up. Your work will directly define the performance of a world-class SEM made in India. You'll have high level of ownership in a mission-driven team where your decision will directly shape our cleanroom design, equipment purchases, and the the future of the product and the company.
