Role Overview
The Quality Team Lead ensures that all HCC coding operations meet highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction. This role combines leadership, auditing, and process improvement responsibilities to protect organizational and client interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee quality assurance audits across multiple coding projects.
- Track error trends, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective / preventive actions.
- Train QA specialists and coders on CMS guidelines, internal SOPs, and coding best practices.
- Collaborate with client QA teams to align standards, benchmark KPIs, and resolve escalations.
- Design and maintain quality dashboards, performance metrics, and reports for leadership and clients.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying gaps and recommending solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of QA and coding staff.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, zero-defect delivery, and accountability across the team.
- Partner with Team Leads and Process Coaches to ensure consistent quality and operational alignment.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, CMS regulations, and client-specific requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
6-9 years HCC coding experience, with at least 1 year as Quality Team LeadCPC or CRC certification mandatoryStrong knowledge of CMS guidelines, coding accuracy metrics, and audit processesSkills & Competencies
