JOB PROFILE : - PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO MEMBER OF LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (MLA)
The role blends Traditional Personal Assistant duties with a need for political acumen and discretion. Key duties involve scheduling meetings and travel, drafting reports and speeches, managing communications with constituents and media, and maintaining a strong understanding of political developments and procedures. The role is multifaceted, requiring excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Diary and Schedule Management : Organizing and maintaining complex diaries, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events, and managing access to the official.
- Communication Hub : Screening phone calls, emails, and visitors; managing correspondence; and acting as the primary point of contact with constituents, media, and other staff.
- Information Management : Devising and maintaining office systems, filing, and managing confidential data with discretion.
- Research and Documentation : Conducting background research on current affairs and legislative issues, preparing briefing papers, reports, presentations, and sometimes writing speeches or press releases.
- Meeting Support : Organizing and attending meetings, taking notes or dictation, and ensuring the politician is well-prepared with all necessary materials.
- Monitor and analyse political developments, legislation, and news media coverage.
- Act as a liaison between the political figure, constituents, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Help manage and engage with the principal's social media presence.
- Assist with the coordination of projects and initiatives.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Degree in BA / MA in Public Policymaking / Economics / Political Science / History (Other Graduates / Post Graduates may apply, will be considered upon discussion)Strong analytical research skillsProficiency in data analysis tools (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCommunication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with diverse groups, from government officials to constituents.Must know Hindi Typing.Job Location : - Patna and Muzaffarpur, Bihar
