About the Role
The Associate Director – HR Business Partnering will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Ascendion’s people and culture strategy across diverse business units. Leading a team of 7–8 HRBPs, this role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership—driving organizational effectiveness, talent outcomes, and an exceptional employee experience.
The incumbent will be responsible for building a future-ready, high-performance culture by aligning workforce strategies to business priorities, enabling leadership effectiveness, and fostering an environment where innovation and inclusion thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Serve as a thought partner to business heads—translating business priorities into actionable people strategies.
- Lead strategic workforce planning, organization design, and capability alignment for current and future business needs.
- Drive change management and transformation initiatives that enhance scalability and performance.
- Use people analytics and insights to influence decisions on talent, productivity, and engagement.
- Talent Management Strategy & Leadership Development
- Lead enterprise-wide talent reviews and succession planning to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
- Partner with L&D to design development journeys focused on future skills, leadership readiness, and career growth.
- Coach and mentor HRBPs and business managers to elevate leadership effectiveness and employee impact.
- Culture, Employee Experience & Engagement
- Champion an inclusive, transparent, and high-trust culture that reflects Ascendion’s values.
- Oversee the design and execution of engagement programs, well-being initiatives, and cultural interventions across units.
- Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters—ensuring fairness, empathy, and organizational consistency.
- Performance, Rewards & Recognitions
- Partner with business and compensation teams to institutionalize a merit-based, performance-driven culture.
- Ensure fairness and transparency in performance evaluations, goal setting, and promotion decisions.
- Drive recognition frameworks that reinforce performance excellence and cultural alignment.
- Operational Excellence & Governance
- Lead the HRBP team in ensuring flawless execution of HR processes, policies, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Build governance frameworks for audits, reporting, and data integrity.
- Continuously improve HR delivery through process digitization, automation, and analytics.
Desired Candidate Profile
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification from a reputed institute.11–15 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a strategic HRBP leadership role managing multi-location or large-scale teams.Demonstrated experience in partnering with senior business leaders to drive organization design, transformation, and people strategy outcomes.Deep understanding of business dynamics with a proven ability to translate organizational goals into actionable HR initiatives.Strong stakeholder management, executive presence, and the ability to influence decision-making across leadership levels.Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional, or global organizations preferred.Willingness to operate in a split-shift model to support cross-regional teams and global business priorities.Key Competencies
