Primary Purpose
The IT Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, evaluating, and hiring technical talent to meet the organization’s business needs. They work closely with hiring managers and technical leaders to understand skill requirements and ensure the right candidates are selected in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities 1. Talent Acquisition & Sourcing
- Identify staffing needs and understand technical requirements in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Source candidates through multiple channels (job boards, , networking, referrals, recruitment agencies, campus hiring, etc.).
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified IT professionals for current and future roles.
2. Screening & Evaluation
Review resumes and conduct initial screening calls to assess technical and cultural fit.Coordinate and schedule technical interviews with hiring managers / technical panels.Assess candidate experience with programming languages, tools, frameworks, and domain expertise relevant to the role.3. Recruitment Process Management
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting to onboarding.Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout all stages.Maintain accurate and updated records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rate.4. Stakeholder Management
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and success criteria.Provide market insights on talent availability, salary benchmarks, and hiring trends.Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders regularly.5. Employer Branding & Networking
Represent the organization at tech meetups, job fairs, and campus events.Promote the company’s employer brand to attract top IT talent.Engage with passive candidates through networking and social media platforms.6. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure hiring practices comply with labor laws and organizational policies.Maintain documentation for audits, background checks, and onboarding compliance.Skills & Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of IT roles, technologies, and skills (e.g., software development, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, data, ERP).Proficiency in sourcing tools ( Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Naukri, etc.).Excellent interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.Familiarity with ATS and HRIS systems.s.Analytical mindset with experience in HR data / metrics.
