Key responsibilities
- Estimation and costing : Analyze blueprints, drawings, and tender documents to derive quantities for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Cost and budget management : Prepare detailed cost estimates, establish project budgets, and monitor expenses to ensure the project stays within budget.
- Billing and invoicing : Prepare various bills, including progress (RA), advance, and final bills, for clients and subcontractors.
- Material and bill reconciliation : Maintain and balance project income by tracking materials and reconciling bills and quantities with project work performed.
- Documentation : Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for client bills, purchase requisitions, work orders, and material certifications.
- Coordination : Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to get approvals, clarify scope changes, and negotiate terms.
- Schedule and planning : Assist in preparing construction schedules and work plans, and implement cost control measures.
Essential skills
Technical : Proficiency in software like AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools is often required.Analytical : Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents, with a keen eye for detail.Financial : Knowledge of rate analysis, bar bending schedules (BBS), and costing principles is crucial for accurate estimates and bills.Communication : Strong skills are needed for interacting with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and resolve discrepancies.Organization : Excellent organizational skills are necessary for managing numerous documents, bills, and project timelines simultaneously.Job Type : Full-time
