Job Overview
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst will support day-to-day infrastructure and network operations for multiple client environments. This role focuses on proactive monitoring, patch management, advanced troubleshooting, and escalation support to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of client systems. The ideal candidate is technically strong, operationally disciplined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment. This role requires hands-on infrastructure experience, strong troubleshooting skills, clear documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
Network and Infrastructure Monitoring
- Monitor network, server, and infrastructure health using monitoring and alerting platforms
- Identify, triage, and respond to alerts related to system performance, availability, and capacity
- Perform root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents and document findings and remediation steps
- Escalate complex issues to engineering teams and vendors as required
Patch Management and Maintenance
Perform network device patching, including firewalls, switches, routers, and other network infrastructureExecute server and endpoint patching across Windows, Mac, and managed endpoint environmentsTrack patch compliance and remediation status across client environmentsCoordinate maintenance windows and communicate expected impact to clients and internal teamsClient Support and Escalations
Serve as a Tier 3 support resource for complex client escalations related to systems, access, and infrastructure issuesTroubleshoot advanced issues involving servers, networks, identity, endpoint management, and connectivityWork directly with clients to resolve escalated issues and provide clear technical guidanceEnsure timely resolution and a high-quality customer experience during escalationsBackup and Recovery Operations
Monitor and maintain data backup systems to ensure successful completion and integrityPerform regular backup verification and recovery testingAssist with data restoration activities during incidents or client requestsOperational Processes and Continuous Improvement
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating proceduresContribute to reporting and operational metrics to track NOC performance and service levelsAssist with onboarding new tools, clients, and environments into NOC operationsShift Coverage and On-Call Support
Work an assigned shift on a consistent weekly basisParticipate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rotations as assigned to support a 24 / 7 operational environmentQualifications
3 to 6 years of experience in a NOC, infrastructure operations, or systems administration roleStrong hands-on experience with network, server, and endpoint operationsExperience performing patching and maintenance across network devices, servers, and endpointsStrong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, networking, and identity systemsExperience with monitoring tools, backup platforms, and infrastructure management solutionsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP preferredExcellent analytical, documentation, and communication skillsFamiliarity with the biotech industry and lab components from an IT operations perspectiveAbility to work a set shift on a weekly basisAbility to support a 24 / 7 environment with after-hours and weekend on-call rotations
