Job Title : Senior Cloud Data Engineer (AWS | Snowflake | Spark)

Location : Pune Hybrid

Experience : 7 to 10 Years

About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and performance tuning using modern data engineering technologies. This role requires a mix of strong coding skills, DevOps mindset, and data engineering best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of our data platform.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
Architect, build, and optimize ETL / ELT data pipelines using AWS EMR, Snowflake, Spark, Hive, Trino.
Tune and optimize big data workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
Automate workflows with Airflow, Oozie, or equivalent orchestration tools.
Implement and manage data storage solutions (S3, RDS, NoSQL databases).
Build monitoring and observability dashboards (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Enforce security & governance policies (IAM roles, user privileges, data integrity, compliance).
Support on-call duties and troubleshoot production issues for high availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain documentation and coding standards.

Must-Have Skills :

5+ years of experience in public cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure / GCP acceptable).

Strong coding skills in Python or Java, with solid Shell scripting.

Expertise in Apache Spark / Hive / Trino with proven performance tuning experience.

Hands-on with Terraform / CloudFormation (IaC).

Experience with Snowflake integration and pipeline design.

Familiarity with containerization & orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker).

Strong experience in debugging, diagnostics, and production support.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good-to-Have :

Exposure to data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines for data workflows.

Prior on-call / SRE experience managing large-scale data infra.
