Senior Growth & Scaling Engineer
who can help us turn a strong product vision into a
worldwide, revenue-generating application .
The Role – What You Will Own You will be responsible for
turning our AI learning app into a globally scalable product , both from a
technical
and
growth / go-to-market
perspective.
This is a
hybrid role
at the intersection of :
Engineering & Architecture
AI & Voice technologies
Product Growth & Digital Marketing
Data-driven experimentation
You will not just “write code” – you will
build, test, scale and optimise the entire acquisition → activation → retention → monetization machine.
️ Key Responsibilities
1. Global-Scale Application Architecture
Design and implement a backend and infrastructure that can scale to
millions of users
across multiple regions (Africa, Europe, North America).
Work with
cloud platforms
(AWS / GCP / Azure) to build secure, resilient, low-latency architectures.
Ensure high availability, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
2. AI Voice-to-Voice Product Integration
Integrate
speech recognition, TTS, and conversational AI
into the learning experience.
Optimise latency, quality and stability for low-bandwidth regions (especially parts of Africa).
Collaborate with AI engineers to deploy and scale
voice models, LLMs, and recommendation systems .
3. Growth & Monetization Engine
Build and optimize
onboarding flows, funnels, referrals, in-app purchase flows and subscriptions .
Implement A / B testing frameworks, analytics dashboards, cohort tracking and LTV / ROI measurement.
Connect with
payment gateways
and local methods (Africa, Europe, Canada, US) – Stripe, PayPal, local wallets, etc.
4. Data-Driven Marketing & User Acquisition
Work closely with marketing to design
landing pages, attribution tracking, deep links, and campaign measurement .
Implement tracking for
Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, influencers and partner campaigns .
Use data to understand user behaviour and improve
conversion, engagement and retention .
5. Reliability, Security & Compliance
Ensure compliance with
GDPR
(Europe),
data privacy
and secure storage of voice and user data.
Build robust authentication, authorization and role-based access control.
Implement logging, rate limiting, fraud detection and abuse prevention.
Who We Are Looking For We are searching for a
very specific profile
– not just a classic developer :
6–10+ years of experience in
backend / full-stack / platform engineering .
Proven experience
scaling a B2C or B2B2C product
to thousands or millions of users (ideally in EdTech, SaaS, AI, or consumer apps).
Strong experience with
cloud (AWS / GCP / Azure) , microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI / CD.
Solid background with
data-driven growth , funnels, A / B testing, analytics, marketing tech or growth engineering.
Hands-on experience with
AI / ML integration (bonus : voice, NLP, LLMs) .
Strong understanding of
global markets : at least one of the following – Africa, Europe, North America.
Excellent English communication skills – able to talk to tech, marketing and business stakeholders.
Bonus points if you :
Have already
built or scaled a mobile app
(iOS / Android) with global reach.
Have worked with
Twilio, WebRTC, WebSockets, real-time comms, or streaming APIs .
Have experience in
EdTech or Learning platforms .
Have led or mentored a small engineering / growth team.
