Job Description :

1. Work within the Engineering team to deliver projects throughout product lifecycle, from concept to production (prototype build, testing documentation etc.)

2. Apply DFM / DFA principles to meet product’s requirements and deliver value engineering by exploiting & exploring new methodologies.

3. Preparing design documentation for production (component design, drawings, assembly drawings and instructions, BOMs etc.) with full configuration control.

4. DFMEA (design failure mode and effect analysis) for new development projects and current product range

5. Design and performance validation on current products OR refining existing models in product range.

6. Contribute to and lead design reviews and workload where / when required (Product development, Continuous Engineering, ECO / ECN)

7. Set standards within the business for best & modern engineering principles.

8. Understanding of value engineering strategies, DFM.

9. Communicate and present ideas to other engineers and across the business.

10. Confident in taking lead and responsibility for design projects.

11. Strong organizational skills to be able to work on multiple concurrent projects.

12. Practical hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and assembly

13. Willing to travel as required (supplier visits, technical support in extreme cases)

Skills - must have

1. Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical engineer

2. 3d cad tools (solid works) and PDM vault

3. Expertise in PLM system – ECO / ECN

4. Hands on experience in GD&T and stack-up analysis

5. Basic understanding of Cable harness and Simulation

6. Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods and material selection.

7. Exposure to electrical components

Skills - Good to have.

1. Basic understanding of Thermal & Structural analysis

2. Basic understanding of Electric Modules / Schematic

3. Hands on experience in Ansys
